Apparently doctors are only getting payed 21 , 000 a year (i want to work for NHS )
And not many just graduated doctors are even getting jobs (i live in England)

I am currently a junior in the process of getting my BSN. I apply for nursing school in January for admission to Fall of 2008 and will have 2 more years of schooling until I graduate. I work at a pet store right now and would like to get into a hospital environment for the experience and for the nurses tuition reimbursement. I used to work as a patient registrar for an emergency room and I loved the busy parts of the job but I hated the desk work- I would rather be on my feet and be more involved. I am thinking about training to become a CNA. Is it really worth the effort? I will be taking 3 weeks of additional classes along with my BSN classes so I don’t want to bust my **** if it isn’t worth all the hard work.

I will be making about the same amount of money after I’m certified but I would have the tuition reimbursement, experience, and it will look better on my nursing school application.

I don’t mind a little paperwork- I hated sitting at a desk for 12 hours doing nothing but paperwork. As far as working hard, that is what draws me to nursing, that and caring for people.

I just wanted to make sure it was a good idea before I started going to school for 12 hours a day for 3 weeks! I will have to quit my job to do this so I’m kind of nervous!

I had a resident that was on the toilet,the call light was on,the lady was sitting there ready to get up,she was a 2 assist ,but i could not find anyone,so I thought I could help her,but ended up injuring her,I thought I did the right thing,but no one was around to help me w/the resident.I had a court date at the nursing home where it happened but due to me not having a good lawyer,I had no one to defend me.Trust Me I never meant to hurt the woman,to this day it sickens me because I loved my job,and now I need to know if anyone knows if i can re-apply or not?

I have applied for the position of medical records clerk/patient registrar to at least 10 different hospitals and 40+ applications for the past 8 months – without any response!

I am a health information management student and have learned ICD-9-CM coding, HIPAA rules and regs, and I am proficient in registering new patients, analyzing medical records and patient/physician deficiency analysis.

I have experience working as a pharmacy technician and cashier at a gas station. Do I have any chance of getting into a hospital?? I would also consider working at a nursing home or a mental hospital if there are any chances. (I haven’t found a single nursing home’s website with a working application form or email id!)
